JOB DESCRIPTION: Identifies, documents, and resolves complex patient problems related to symptoms, behavioral changes, abnormal diagnostic data, learning needs, and the common interrelationships among them. Assures continuity of care through effective decision-making resulting in quality patient care. Delivers effective patient care based on collaborative clinical pathways. Anticipates potential patient crisis through continual evaluation of patient outcomes. Delegates effectively. Identifies the need to develop or revise policies and procedures pertaining to specialized patient populations and/or department and hospital practices. Participates in department orientation of new staff. May serve as mentor for new staff and students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from physical therapy school accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Georgia. One year of experience as a physical therapist.
