Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Manages the Access Emory office to include human, financial, and materials resources in a team relationship with Emory Healthcare administrators/medical directors and other Woodruff Health Sciences Center (WHSC) leadership. Provides the coordination of care focused on high-touch, quality communication and follow through for patients utilizing Access Emory, whom may include constituents identified by the Executive Vice President for Health Affairs. Manages the day-to-day office operations to ensure adherence to procedures and protocols that exemplify patient access and satisfaction in support of the mission and goals of The Emory Clinic and the WHSC. May require direct facilitation in activities such as multiple appointment scheduling, call management, section to section referrals, pre-arrival administrative preparation, pre-operative administrative preparation, billing and payment coordination as well as other special constituent services, such as escorting patients to appointments, visiting inpatients at bedside, hotel and transportation coordination, security management, cultural awareness preparation, and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's in business administration, nursing, healthcare administration or related field required. Master's preferred. 7-10 years of patient relations, clinical, or customer service experience in a healthcare-related environment. Previous experience in a leadership role is required.
